What’s a GETY?
GETY is our Gan Elohim Temple Youth, TGE’s branch of the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and it was founded in December 2006 after a series of B’Nai Mitzvot in 2004 and 2005 for our 8th through 12th-grade teenagers.
With a focus on fun, friendship and social action, GETY participates in NFTY Southwest Regional Events including the annual Spring and Fall kallot, Social Action Weekend and LTI.
At these events, our teens meet fellow teens from Arizona, New Mexico, southern Nevada and El Paso as they study, pray and have fun together.
On a more local level, GETY members have enjoyed bowling trips, game nights, Oscar nights, picnics in the park, swim parties, overnight lockins and Guitar Hero challenges.
